Design of an Osmotically Driven Drug Delivery Device for the Treatment of Glioblastoma Multiforme

Glioblastoma is an aggressive brain cancer that frequently recurs after surgical treatment, while systemic therapies are limited by the blood–brain barrier and off-target toxicity. Our team is developing an implantable, osmotically driven system designed to provide sustained, localized drug delivery directly to tissue surrounding the tumor resection cavity. Building on our published proof-of-concept work, the current project focuses on scaling the technology toward clinically relevant treatment while maintaining reliable pump performance.
